I created this piece while being in a long road trip around Europe. And there were a few things together that inspired me: French roads, French summer heat and... emergency phone pillars... yes, those orange you can see on the road in every couple of km or so. Sometimes from the distance it seemed to me like that was a person standing next to the road (thanks to my not perfect vision).
